March Favourites

I've done it again, let the bloggers team down. Having spent the last couple of months adapting to a new job role, saving up for a holiday & applying for college - I haven't really had a chance to write a blog post, or even buy new products.. (well thats a lie, but I'm pretty content with my current makeup stash) I feel like I'm forever making up excuses as to why I haven't posted in a while, maybe that'll never change.

I thought i'd kick start with ye ol' typical monthly favourites post.. these are just a few things i've been luvving and rinsing religiously..

Naked On The Run Palette - Debenhams
I received this as a gift for christmas and haven't really used it much until now, it literally does what it says on the tin - 'on the run' If I don't feel like lugging my makeup bag out with me I can trust that this palette will fulfil my needs.. packed with a mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, eyeshadows, blusher, bronzer and highlighter this kit is perfect for a quick mid-day fixup.

MAC Matte Lipstick in Taupe - Debenhams

This lipstick has become a firm favourite in my ever growing MAC lipstick collection, its a great colour  to add to a nude lipliner, which is what i've been experimenting with recently. The colour Taupe itself is a dark nude, I was a bit apprehensive when trying it as I wasn't sure if it would compliment my complexion however with a bronzed face it is the perfect shade. It's also a matte lipstick, I'm a sucker for matte lipstick's as I believe the type of texture is what suits my face most, but everyone is different.. so when choosing a lipstick it is best to figure out whether you're a satin girl, a matte girl, or even a gloss girl.. and then take a look at the shades on offer!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer ASOS

This is honestly the best highlighter i've ever used.. I was recommended this by a good friend a few months ago, and had seen a few bloggers posting about it so I thought I would give it a try, retailed at £17.50 its not the cheapest highlight i've bought but damn does it live up to the hype! A little really does go a long way with this, i've had it since December and continually used, its barely touched the surface. - the pigmentation is great, and it gives off a really nice natural glow, try it!

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder - Boots

I opted for this powder a couple of weeks ago because my Anastasia Contour Kit is starting to hit pan and the shade 'Banana' is a favourite to apply under my eyes and under my contour.. I found the lightest shade in this L'Oreal product (light skin) and thought i'd give it a go. It is definitely a dupe, it gives off a real flawless finish to all areas of my face and works really well against my contour. One thing I think lets it down is the packaging (see below) though some people might like an added mirror on the other side, I feel its unnecessary for me. - the sponge which comes with it is missing because I use brushes.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess 03 Medium Deep - Boots

I purchased this a few weeks ago, as it had run out a year ago after lasting a year. This bronzer is perfect for the summer, I used it religiously throughout two summers as it gave my cheeks a lovely natural glow. When purchasing this product I was blind-eyed as to what shade I needed, I went for medium deep as I figured in the summer with a tan it would blend well. I love how this compliments my contour, and as I'm so into the bronzed look at the minute this really does do it justice. Retailed at £32 its definitely up there with one of the most expensive bronzers, however it lasts ages and really looks good on the skin.

Eyelure Eyebrow Palette - Marks & Spencers

I bought this when my Anastasia Brow Wiz ran out, I was recommended it by my sister and it has definitely become a firm favourite. Eyebrows seem to be the most important thing on a girls face these days, i'm forever hearing people say 'omg did you see her eyebrows?' - making all us girls self conscious about the state of our eyebrows on a day to day basis. This little palette has everything you need to keep your eyebrows on point.. (minus the tweezers, but if you don't own a pair.. what are you doing?!!?!) I lost the brush, but I use a real technique eye brush for this, apply the light powder under your brows and the shadow on your brows.. and you're good to go, at £10 its a bit of a bargain.

Thats it for this months favourites, what are yours?!
