Top 10 coffee shop drinks to get you into the festive spirit..

As an avid coffee drinker, it comes as no surprise to anyone who may know me that around Christmas time I go crazy for the different types of drinks on offer at all coffee chains.. I thought it might be a nice idea to create a list of all kinds of drinks available through Christmas for you all to give a go.. I have pretty much tried MOST of these.

Starbucks:

Toffee Nut Latte - anyone who is a toffee fan will love this drink, super sweet its a great alternative to your usual syrup flavoured coffee.

Gingerbread Latte - the ULTIMATE festive favourite, this drink is super christmassy and a firm favourite from my starbucks list.

Egg Nog Latte - This is one I haven't tried and don't really have interest in trying, I guess if you're a egg nog drinker this might be right up your street, let me know if you've tried it..

Costa:

Lindt Hot Chocolate - i'm not usually much of a hot chocolate drinker, and I think if i'm in a coffee shop, the chances are coffee always comes up trumps when choosing, but everybody had been raving about this drink so I gave it a go.. and its gorgeous! if you love hot chocolate, I urge you to try it.

Gingerbread Latte - obviously a classic available in Costa, this is quite comparable to Starbucks and I actually prefer the starbucks version as I feel in general their coffee is stronger and more bitter (my preference) Very nice if you like something sweet, but I feel the gingerbread syrup over powers the coffee in Costa.. what are your thoughts?

Honeycomb Latte - This is something I felt I had to mention as it is pretty much a new addition to festive drinks this year, though I must admit I hated it. - not sure what it was, but it left a really funky taste in my mouth. I think maybe its an acquired taste and some people may love it, which is why it's included.

Pret

Mint Hot Chocolate - not my idea of a delicious drink, but I guess if you're an after eight obsessor at this time of the year this may be perfect for you!

Cafe Nero

Cafe nero are doing their own take on festive drinks this year, with the idea that you create your own! Basically you choose between a latte / hot chocolate and then choose your festive syrup.. it can be topped with cream/marshmallows

M&S

Salted Caramel Latte - I'm a big fan of M&S coffee, and if you're into the salted caramel craze whats not to love?

Gingerbread Latte - another classic, and its definitely NOT too sweet!
